



Pretzels
GF Pretzels: 2 pkg. yeast, 1 1/2 cups warm water, 1 tsp. salt, 1 Tbsp. sugar, 4 cups rice flour mix, 1 beaten egg. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add salt and sugar. Blend in flour and knead (add more flour if necessary to achieve desired texture). Cut dough into pieces. Roll pieces out into ropes with even thickness. Shape ropes into pretzel forms on cookie sheet. Brush the pretzels with egg, and sprinkle over the top with coarse or kosher salt. Bake 425 degrees for 12-15 min., or until browned. |
